Diabetes News Report - Your Favorite Soft Drink Could Lead to Diabetes

A diabetes news report stated that US research has shown that indulging in just one sugar-laden soda drink or fruit juice every day could increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by up to 80 percent.

Obesity has a strong link with the development of diabetes, and is particularly seen as a rising concern in children.

A study carried out on over 51,000 women between 1991 and 1999 showed that those who drank more sugar-sweetened drinks gained more weight and, in some cases, this contributed to developing type 2 diabetes.

The research confirmed that watching your sugar intake, by cutting down on sweetened drinks, could reduce the risk of developing diabetes.
